About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Regional Marketing Manager to join our growing team in the crop protection industry. This senior-level role focuses on translating corporate marketing strategies into actionable, on-the-ground campaigns. You will work closely with the sales team to ensure strategic alignment with market and customer needs, driving the achievement of Strategic Business Unit (SBU) objectives.
The ideal candidate is an excellent communicator, analytical thinker, and strong executor who thrives in a collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities
1. Product Launches & Marketing Campaigns
- Assist in executing new product launches, including field trials.
- Plan and implement crop- and product-specific campaigns for Kharif and Rabi seasons with the State Marketing Head.
- Estimate marketing resources, monitor campaign execution, and evaluate results to ensure maximum ROI.
2. Market & Competition Analysis
- Conduct competitor analysis within specific crop and molecular segments.
- Lead the sales team in annual market mapping exercises to understand market dynamics.
- Perform market research and dipstick surveys to gauge market readiness.
- Stay updated on industry trends, new products, and crop developments.
- Serve as the primary contact for all marketing-related data.
3. Training & Development
- Ensure the sales team and field assistants understand the Unique Value Propositions (UVP) of products.
- Collaborate with product and technical teams to conduct sales training sessions at least twice a year.
4. Communication & Coordination
- Work within a matrix reporting system, collaborating with State Sales In-charge and HO Product Management Head.
- Drive and influence sales and marketing staff, including Regional Managers (RMs) and Territory Managers (TMs).
- Oversee and mentor Development Executives and Trainees in the region.
Qualifications & Experience
- Education: Postgraduate or Graduate degree in Agriculture (MBA preferred).
- Experience: 10+ years in crop protection industry, specifically in brands business.
- Skills: Proven experience managing sales and marketing teams, adaptability to diverse cultures, and a track record of achieving business targets.
