Job Summary
We’re looking for an experienced Marketing Head to lead our marketing efforts in Hyderabad. This is a senior-level position where you’ll be responsible for translating our corporate marketing strategy into effective, on-the-ground execution. You’ll align strategies with the local market and customers, working closely with the sales team to ensure operational excellence and achieve our Strategic Business Unit (SBU) objectives. This role is ideal for a strategic leader with a successful track record in the crop protection industry.
Responsibilities
1. Strategic Planning & Product Management
- Oversee the full lifecycle of product launches, from preparation to execution and post-launch review.
- Evaluate the existing product portfolio and develop a three-year roadmap for future growth.
- Coordinate field trials for new products in our pipeline.
2. Campaign & Competition Analysis
- Design and implement comprehensive crop and product campaigns for both Kharif and Rabi seasons.
- Roll out campaigns with the necessary marketing resources and evaluate their outcomes.
- Conduct in-depth analysis of competitor molecules and crop segments.
- Lead annual market mapping exercises with the sales team to gain a deeper understanding of the market.
- Stay updated on crop, segment, and new development trends.
3. Budgeting & Training
- Initiate and oversee the annual sales budgeting process to ensure it’s completed on time.
- Set the direction and guidelines for the entire budgeting process.
- Ensure the sales team is fully aware of and has internalized the unique value propositions (UVP) of our products.
- Collaborate with product and technical teams to conduct sales training sessions twice a year and develop online certification programs for the sales team.
4. Leadership & Coordination
- Work within a matrix reporting system, aligning with the VP/AVP of Sales, State Sales Heads, and the HO Product Management Head.
- Drive the execution efforts of Regional Marketing Managers and key sales personnel (RMs/ZMs/DGMs).
- Ensure corporate branding is executed effectively by coordinating with the HO team and designing branding inputs for key channel partners.
- Oversee the timely delivery and tracking of promotional marketing materials to the sales team.
Required Profile
- Experience: 10+ years in the crop protection industry with a focus on branded products.
- Education: Post-graduation or graduation in Agriculture is required; an MBA is preferred.
- Skills: Proven experience leading sales and marketing teams, a successful track record in the industry, and the ability to work effectively in a culturally diverse environment.
- Salary: ₹10 – ₹20 Lakhs per annum.
