Balaji Consultancy is seeking a results-driven Category Manager for Farm Equipment (FEQ) to lead sales and strategic management across retail stores in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. This is a senior-level role responsible for the entire product lifecycle—from procurement to liquidation—within a rapidly expanding retail network that currently spans AP, Telangana, Maharashtra, MP, Punjab, Haryana, and UP.

Key Responsibilities & Performance Areas
- Strategic Planning: Translate organizational business strategies into state and store-wise plans to achieve sales targets and profit margins.
- Sourcing & Vendor Management: Establish and maintain strategic relationships with manufacturers and distributors for efficient product sourcing across the state.
- Inventory & Liquidation: Manage SKU levels at all stores, ensuring a minimum fill rate and timely liquidation of stock.
- Budgeting: Responsible for achieving budgets for focus products and maintaining overall category profitability.
- Market Operations: Forecast demand across relevant geographies, implement promotional strategies, and ensure adherence to retail SOPs.
- Compliance & Training: Ensure regulatory compliance at the store and state level while facilitating the development of training materials for the FEQ category.
Candidate Requirements
- Educational Excellence: B.Sc. in Agriculture or Horticulture is mandatory. M.Sc. in Agri-disciplines or an MBA in Agribusiness is highly preferred.
- Proven Leadership: At least 5 years in a state or country-level supervisory role. Experience across multiple states, particularly in South India, is an advantage.
- Technical Skills: Deep understanding of Indian agronomy and proficiency in MS Office (Excel & PowerPoint).
- Soft Skills: Strong negotiation, team management, and the ability to handle extended travel across the state.
