We’re looking for a results-driven State Head – Retail to lead our operations in Western Maharashtra, and Punjab location. This role is crucial for managing our retail business, ensuring sales and profitability targets are met, and maintaining high standards of customer satisfaction and operational excellence. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the crop protection chemicals (CPC) industry and a proven track record of leading large teams in a supervisory capacity.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership & Management: Oversee and manage all retail operations across Western Maharashtra, including a network of over 50 stores and a team of 150+ employees.
- Sales & Target Achievement: Develop and implement strategies to meet and exceed activity and sales targets. Mobilize and motivate the team to achieve ambitious goals.
- Team Leadership & Development: Lead, mentor, and manage a large team of retail staff. Provide guidance, training, and performance feedback to ensure a high-performing and engaged workforce.
- Operational Excellence: Ensure strict compliance with all organizational processes, policies, and procedures. Monitor store performance, inventory management, and logistics to optimize efficiency.
- Customer Relationship Management: Enhance customer satisfaction by ensuring exceptional service delivery and resolving customer issues promptly. Foster strong relationships with key customers and stakeholders.
- Market Analysis: Stay abreast of market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments in the crop protection chemicals sector to inform business strategy.
- Reporting & Analytics: Provide regular reports on sales performance, operational metrics, and team performance to senior management.
Qualifications
- Experience: Must have 15 years of experience in a supervisory sales and marketing role within the Crop Protection Chemicals (CPC) industry.
- Geographical Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of the Western Maharashtra market is essential.
- Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead, manage, and motivate a large team to achieve collective goals.
- Business Acumen: Strong understanding of retail operations, sales strategies, and profitability drivers.
- Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
