Area Manager – Retail | Andhra Pradesh & Telangana – Kurnool

Job Overview:

We are hiring an experienced and results-driven Area Manager – Retail to lead sales and marketing operations across Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.
The ideal candidate must have over 10 years of experience in Crop Protection Chemical (CPC) sales and 4–5 years of leadership experience managing large field teams. This role is focused on retail marketing, channel expansion, and partner/influencer engagement within the agri-input ecosystem. Candidates with a deep understanding of agrochemical distribution, rural markets, and farmer networks will be preferred.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve growth and revenue targets across districts.
  • Manage and motivate a team of Territory Managers and Field Executives to ensure sales performance.
  • Drive the expansion of the company’s network.
  • Conduct regular training, onboarding, and product knowledge sessions for field teams and partners.
  • Oversee order generation, dispatch coordination, and on-ground sales execution.
  • Ensure partner satisfaction through timely resolution of queries, incentives, and service issues.
  • Analyze sales trends, competitor activities, and market insights to identify growth opportunities.
  • Maintain strict adherence to company SOPs, operational processes, and reporting systems.
  • Collaborate with internal marketing and supply teams for promotions, schemes, and product campaigns.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

  • Education: B.Sc. in Agriculture or Horticulture (mandatory).
  • Preferred: M.Sc. in Agriculture or MBA in Agribusiness Management.
  • Experience: Minimum 10+ years in sales and marketing of Crop Protection Chemicals (CPC).
  • Leadership: Minimum 4–5 years in a state/zonal managerial role.
  • Regional Expertise: Must have worked in Andhra Pradesh or Telangana for 5+ years.
  • Knowledge: Deep understanding of agri-distribution networks, retail sales, and farmer engagement models.

  • Strong sales and negotiation abilities.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • In-depth understanding of crop patterns, regional agronomy, and rural markets.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and digital sales tools.
  • Fluent in Telugu, with working knowledge of Hindi and English.
  • Willingness to travel extensively across assigned territories.
