Job Overview:
We are looking for a highly motivated and results-driven State Head – Retail (Tamil Nadu) to lead our retail operations in the state. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in sales and marketing of Crop Protection Chemicals (CPC) and a proven track record of managing large teams at the State/Area level.

This role requires managing 150+ staff across 50+ stores, achieving sales and activity targets, ensuring compliance, enhancing customer satisfaction, and driving profitability.

Key Responsibilities:

• Translate organizational business strategy into state-level and store-wise business plans to achieve sales and margin goals.
• Define and execute action plans for sales and promotional activities.
• Implement planned promotional campaigns to achieve sales targets.
• Ensure adherence to SOPs in retail operations and compliance with regulations.
• Build strong relationships with local distributors for sourcing of materials.
• Lead store expansion activities including location selection, premises finalization, and store launch.
• Ensure minimum fill rates across all stores consistently.
• Supervise performance and compliance of store staff, ensuring operational efficiency.

Qualifications & Experience:

• B.Sc. in Agriculture / Horticulture is mandatory.
• M.Sc. in Agriculture-related disciplines or MBA in Agribusiness preferred.
• Minimum 10+ years of experience in sales & marketing of Crop Protection Chemicals (CPC).
• Additional experience in Specialty Crop Nutrition or Retail is a plus.
• At least 4–5 years of supervisory experience.
• Proven experience of working at the state level for 3+ years.

Key Skills:

• Strong knowledge of agronomy of crops in Tamil Nadu.
• Proficiency in MS Office, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Excellent leadership, team management, and mobilization skills.
• Ability to handle extended travel across the state.
