Job Summary

We are looking for a motivated and experienced Insurance Team Leader to manage and guide a team of Insurance Advisors/Agents. The ideal candidate will be responsible for recruiting, training, and driving the team to achieve sales targets while maintaining high standards of customer service and compliance.


Key Responsibilities

1. Team Management & Recruitment

  • Recruit, screen, and onboard new Insurance Agents/Advisors to build a strong sales force.
  • Provide on-the-job training, coaching, and motivation to team members.
  • Monitor individual agent performance and provide constructive feedback to improve productivity.
  • Manage team attrition and ensure high retention of productive agents.

2. Sales & Business Development

  • Drive the team to achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue targets (KPIs).
  • Develop strategies to increase market penetration and cross-sell insurance products (Life/Health/General).
  • accompany team members on client meetings to close high-value deals.
  • Identify new business opportunities and generate leads through the team.

3. Operations & Compliance

  • Ensure all business activities adhere to company policies and regulatory guidelines (e.g., IRDAI regulations).
  • Maintain accurate records of sales, client interactions, and team attendance.
  • Handle client grievances and claim escalations effectively to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Prepare and present weekly/monthly performance reports to senior management.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum 7 years of experience in Insurance Sales, with at least 4 years in a leadership or team-handling role.
  • Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of Insurance products (Life, Health, or General) and market trends.
  • Skills:
    • Excellent leadership and people management skills.
    • Strong communication and negotiation abilities.
    • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
    • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
